about
“When Hurricane Laura was approaching I rewrote the words to my song, 'Take Me Lake Charles.' It was a tongue-in-cheek parody that fit the mood at the time. In the aftermath, it has come to my attention that Lake Charles, Southwest Louisiana, and much of The Bayou State has sustained great damage. As a gesture of goodwill and hope, I will donate all of the proceeds from the new version of this song. Hopefully this brings a little levity to those affected, and a lot of attention to their plight." - Kevin Russell, Shinyribs
All profits from the single-song purchase and associated donations through the platform will be distributed evenly to Direct Relief's Hurricane Laura Relief and the Cajun Navy Relief to aid victims with recovery.

Any collection that kicks off with Nikki Lane channeling Wanda Jackson is worth having by definition. The rest is just fine, too, especially Seratones' apocalyptic take on State Trooper. New West clearly curated this collection with care. Paul Goode

The slashing roots rock on “Out On the Line” always makes its way to the kind of triumphant chorus that quickens the pulse. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 2, 2023

If "Dhulka Hooyo" doesn't move your ass, you lack an ass, all its fuzzy keys-triumphant vocal harmonies an all. I often enjoy world music distantly, but this one has the feels--recommend, recommend. VAST DEFERENS
